OLD YEAR INVENTORY/NEW YEAR RESOLUTION
As this year ends, I will like for you all to take an inventory of how
you spent this year. Seriously how did you spend this year? Did you achieve
anything? Where you a better person? Do you have a fat bank account? Did you
make the 4.8 GP you aimed at? Did you get the promotion? Are you already
driving your dream car? Some people are just going to read this post and act
like it doesn’t matter, truth be told it matters a lot. Reason being that you
will know the extent to which you improved on yourself and all that concerns
you. Right now most of you will be like yimu…
From the standpoint I will advise every one of you, to pen down
everything you wish you achieve next year, also known as “:New Year
Resolution”. Some people feel it’s already too late because 2016 is less than
24 hours away, you still have time. If you can’t do it today, you still have
the first week or even the first month of the New year. Remember, if you fail
to plan, you plan to fail. While writing your resolution, do well to write down
realistic and achievable goals and also methods in achieving those goals. For
example, you cannot just write down that by December 31st 2016 I
want to have 20 Million Naira in my account, without a blueprint and method, you
can never meet up with that target by folding your arms and looking at the
ceiling. Such a goal needs hard work, discipline and focus to keep your goal in
track.
For everyone reading this post, I am grateful to God Almighty and I
offer a stupendous applause, for the gift of life today, and for God’s mercies.
God has kept us thus far. So many people
have died this year as a result of different factors, the economy has been deteriorating
and of cause the exchange rate has become so high. For the fact that you are
still alive and reading this post is a miracle.
This year has been tough and many people could not meet up with their
goals, please I implore you, don’t give up. You need to keep on trying, when
life gives you limes try to turn it into smiles and make the best of it. If
this wasn’t a good one for you, try to make the New Year a better experience
and encounter.
This year was a very tough year for me, but guess what? I achieved some things,
my graduation this year and seeing today, are one of my great testimonies,
though I didn’t achieve up to 60% of my goals. I am not giving up, I have
learnt from my mistakes, I am a stronger and better person, and I am ready to
keep thriving because, I am a goal digger, and I am striving to become a pace
setter.
Finally, I really want to appreciate all of you, who have been taking
time out to read my blog posts, my friends and of cause my family. We have been
inconsistent for a long time now, that’s because we have been working on
strategies to maintain consistency; we will be bigger and better in the New
Year.
Love,
Uj Okoro
